Hello Cornwall!

Website completed: check. Stationery ordered: tick. Inspirational pictures mounted: done. Account opened with nearby coffee shop: sorted. New business announced: in-progress. New clients sought: on-going.

After months spent planning, chatting, creating, disagreeing, organising, and eating too many digestives, Cornish Pixel is finally open for business; and we’re all so excited, especially as I elected Fridays coffee and cake day.

Ordinarily, the Cornish Pixel blog will deliver industry relevant content such as how our Cornwall SEO services can help your business grow; or news and updates pertaining to website design and e-commerce solutions. However, as this is the first blog, I thought it would be a fine idea to say hello and introduce you to the Pixels.

I’m Victoria, the copywriting/content management Pixel. I’ll also be responsible for business development and account management, plus selecting and guarding the office biscuits. My background is primarily in media relations, PR and journalism. I’ve also owned a pet-sitting business and worked in a prawn factory which no doubt provided some useful transferable skills.

Where words are my passion, zeros and ones are Jacob’s. He’s our web development magician who can turn pretty colours and pictures into fully functioning, user-friendly, responsive websites. He speaks in many languages including: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Python.

Stuart sits at the top of the Pixel family tree. He’s our SEO specialist, having spent several years working for various digital media agencies managing clients’ SEO campaigns. Fortunately, he is a multi-talented chap and also manages our design work; he created the Cornish Pixel website which still dazzles us.

Most of the time we’ll be working from our riverside (muddy estuary) office in Wadebridge, although, as I prefer to write outdoors, I’m sure I will be found scribbling my thoughts besides the water enjoying a quarter of Rhubarb & Custard.

Introductions done; professional hat on: next week, I’ll be discussing the importance of contemporary website design and how we can help businesses in Cornwall sparkle.

Be sure to say hello in the comments below.
